1) Over 18's only. Seriously. If you're reading this and you're under 18, then stop immediately and leave because you've lied to get in. It's not that I don't like young people, it's just that this site may contain material and language of an adult nature and I wont be held responsible for policing that down to an acceptible level for anyone younger. Sorry. There are lots of James-related sites that are suitable for you.

2) No spam, chain letters or faux virus warnings (i.e. that haven't been checked first on Stopes.com). Spam means posts obviously selling stuff that isn't to do with James. Links to funny/cool things don't count as spam. I will make an exception for regularly posting board members selling stuff on eBay (as long as it's not illegal). No event ticket re-sale links please. Chain letters and faux virus warnings just bug me. Posting spam gets you instantly suspended without warning. Posting chain letters and faux virus warnings wont get you banned, but I wont like it and I'll get pouty.
3) Always play nice. Attack ideas, not people. Anyone being unduly mean to anyone else in a way that is hurtful gets a strike. Three and you're out. Write to erykah@cultofnice.net if you feel anyone is being mean and I'll deal with it. Don't duke it out on the board.
The "play nice" rule includes EVERYONE in the entire universe. You know who I mean.
3) Don't post blatantly illegal content or links to blatantly illegal content, such as whole TV episodes or rips from CDs. If you feel that you couldn't justify it to me as "fair use" then don't post it.
5) If you must swear, do it creatively.
6) Trolls must be mocked both mercilessly and humourously.
7) Try to keep threads on topic. When you inevitably fail, be creative.
8) Lurking is actively discouraged. Come out and play!
9) Don't post your address, phone number or bank details on the forum. Also don't stick needles in your eyeballs, put fireworks in your pocket or run with scissors.
10) Absolutely NO videos (or audio) from conventions, gigs or events. We're not supposed to make them and I wont have any part in distributing them. On this I get very grumpy. It jeopardises future cons and events, and I really like con and events.
11) For anything else, police yourselves.
